In 1999 Ag-Spread commenced operations in Gippsland supplying and spreading fertiliser from South Gippsland to the Snowy Mountain region. As this business evolved the decision to purchase the first B Double tipper was made in 2001 to support the fertiliser spreading operations.
As fertiliser, lime and grain sales grew additional B Double tipping units were purchased to have greater control over commodity movement.
A stronger focus on the transportation of dry bulk commodities has taken place and further B Doubles have been purchased to fulfil a growing list of customer requirements.
Today Ag-Spread owns and operates over 100 Prime Movers and over 200 trailers of which 100% are Road Train Convertible, making Ag-Spread the largest privately owned operators of tippers on the Eastern Sea Board.
